Luke Ayling is a photographer originally from the sun-kissed flats of Chelmsford in Essex, now based near the River Lea in Hackney Wick .
Luke arrived in the world of boutique content creative the long way round. The way that forks left at the traffic lights and goes six miles in the wrong direction. A runaway from a banking job in the City, Luke chucked it all in to pursue photography. Following several years of assisting some of the industries heavy weights, he went out on his own. Not long after he opened Woods Lodge Studios with his brother Mitch, a state-of-the-art photography & recording studio. A last minute studio booking led to a first meeting with Mike (co-founder of Ranch Creative). This meeting turned into a few beers after work, and what followed was a few very successful collaborations and eventually a career-changing business partnership. Outside of the studio, he’s in a band called The Milk (who have just released their third album, “Cages”), enjoys travel, skiing and is a practising Nichiren Buddhist.
